hobby design - F2003GA detail set

Today I received the hobby design's 1/20 Ferrari F2003GA detail set. As all of their products it's a great set! I can't wait to use it it soon building the F2003 from Fujimi!

F2007- 09

F2007 is finished!

Finally I didn't use the 2K clearcoat as I'm still waiting for a new airbrush. So I clearcoated the car using TS-13 from Tamiya.

The next builds will be two lotus 79 (martini & rebaque versions).

F60-07

The F60 is finished!

Honestly, I finished it some weeks ago but I didn't find any time to take some pictures....

It's curious to see how naked it seems compared to the F2007. Anyway, I enjoyed very much building this car and, as always in tamiya kits, the fitting is near to be perfect!

Now it's time to finish the F2007 and start thinking in the two lotus 79.....

F2007- 08

The decal job is finished!

Now I'm working on the brakes and I'm waiting to have some nice weather to airbrush the clear coat....

I really love the livery of this car!

Finally I received the clearcoat 2K pack from Hiroboy.

It will be the first time I use this kind of clear in my models.

F2007- 07

I started to apply the CF decals. I also masked the body to paint a mist coat of flat black to the places where the CF decals are applied to tone down the grey color.

The flat black is painted over the CF decals on the inner faces of the rear wing plates. I really like how they look.
I also glued all the body parts before start the decal job. The fit of the parts is better than I thought.....
And finally I started the decal job and glued the front wing parts. Hope to finish it soon......

new lamp

christmas is always a good time to have nice gifts!

now I don't have any excuses to work on little pieces!

F2007- 06

After some tedious masking job, I painted the black parts of the body. Now it's time to start the work with CF decals on the suspension arms....

And finally the clear red is airbrushed. Now I'll wait some days and then I'll sand the surface and start masking to paint the black parts.

F2007- 04

I glued all the little wings and mirrors to the body.

As the F2007 will be curbside I also glued the cowling to the cockpit. Doing in that way, there will be no different shades of colors.

All parts are painted with primer.

There have been too much discusions on how to paint the late f2007. I will use a mixture of titanium gold + clear red over it...

It's curious to see a ferrari in gold.... but I must admit that I like it! in a few days I'll airbrush the clear red.
